FRANCESCA RAMSAY
ART HISTORIAN | WRITER | EDITOR | CURATOR
Hello

I am a freelance art historian, writer, editor and curator.

For many years I have worked at the interface between art and the public. This has left me adept at transforming complex ideas and academic jargon into something both accessible and entertaining.
I trained at the Warburg Institute in London, a multi-disciplinary education in Renaissance art and culture that provided me with excellent academic research and writing skills (as well as with some pretty niche knowledge). I've since gone on to work in the auction and commercial sector, as well as in museums and with public sector ventures and individual artists.

I’ve also written two books! You can order both here.
For all book enquiries, please contact my agent Holly Faulks, at Greene & Heaton.
You can see my show, Wilfred Avery and the Unpredictable Image, in Barnstaple, North Devon, until 27 January 2024.
